FAQ’s About GatorBack Protective Products
Is
GatorBack really different than wax?
The
GatorBack Protective Product line is not a wax. Once applied, it will
last for up to 50,000 miles of driving. It will not wash off, as it forms
a bond between the surface treated and the protective coating. There
are many products available that claim to be the best this and the greatest
that. GatorBack Protective Products do not make unfounded claims nor
promise to be something they are not. What Gatorback provides is unrivaled
protection for virtually any automotive or nautical surface (paint, glass,
fabric and wheels).
What
kind of protection?
Gatorback Protective Products protect vehicles
against oxidation from ultraviolet light and airborne impurities (example:
acid rain, industrial fallout). They reduce the chance of damage from
contaminants like tree sap, hard water spots, bird droppings and insects.
Vehicles maintain a like-new appearance longer, and with less effort
than with other products.
What is the required maintenance?
Taking care of your vehicle has
never been this easy. It is important to remove foreign matter from the
surface of your vehicle in a reasonable time frame. However, one will
find that there is less effort required, no harsh cleaners needed, and
no wax need be applied.
Can GatorBack be applied by individuals, or is it strictly for dealerships?
The
GatorBack product line is available to individuals, as well as dealerships.
Application is not technically difficult, but it does require appropriate
diligence for best results.
Is there a total package for all GatorBack Protective Products?
Yes.
The GatorBack line is available for purchase in a Total Protection Kit
or all products may be purchased individually. There are generally price
incentives for the Total Protection Kit.
How do I know when it is time to re-apply GatorBack?
The protection
from GatorBack Protective Products generally lasts three years. Particular
circumstances will affect individual cases. For example, a vehicle driven
12,000 miles per year and garaged at night will tend to have longer-lasting
protection than a vehicle driven 25,000 miles, left in harsh elements,
and exposed to contaminants in a work environment during the day. When
the easy-to-clean effect is no longer noticeable it is time for a re-application.
Will
the GatorBack Protective Paint System mask or hide defects in my vehicle’s
paint?
Unfortunately, it will not. The lustrous shine
that GatorBack creates on painted surfaces will actually make defects
such as scratches more noticeable. It is therefore very important to
buff out as many flaws in the paint as possible prior to the GatorBack
application for best results.
